Where do I start? We purchased this refrigerator in September 2024 because our refrigerator that we had for three years completely went out. We buy all of our appliances from Spencers Electronics. I called and they said we arent having AS MANY issues with LG. Thats reassuring. In September of 2025 the ice maker top and bottom started freezing up and stopped making ice. The first time it happened we took everything out of the fridge and freezer unplugged the unit and let it completely unthaw. Everything worked fine. Of course two weeks later warranty is now up it did it again. Now its November and it has done it again. This is absolutely ridiculous. I am not going to do this every two weeks and I am not going to hire an appliance repair person to come and fix the refrigerator and pay out of pocket. I am going to throw this piece of junk away and buy something better. Save your money

Continual problems with icemaker

Continual problems with icemaker One reason we liked this was because of the two icemakers. But in less than two years after we bought the refrigerator the top icemaker was not getting cold enough and ice cubes were clumping together. Then it stopped making ice altogether. LG manual said to change filters and reset did not work. Called LG. First they said it was the fan assembly. Called again they said it was either the icemaker itself or the control panel. Called again this time was told it was just a small part that needed replacing. So which repair information do we listen to? Repairman came out four times. He finally replaced the fan assembly which cost us $500. If we go ahead and replace the other three parts LG recommend parts will cost us over $630 not including labor. And this is only after two years so what other components will fail before long? Although reviews give this refrigerator good reviews other sources however including actual customer reviews on Reddit and Quora report issues such as component failures difficulties with certain features like ice makers and high repair costs after a few years. If LG knows their icemakers are points of failure they should cover the cost of parts and repairs especially if the failure is in a refrigerator under two years old. Giving this LG one star and definitely do not recommend.

When writing this review LG asks that you not to write about customer service but to focus on the refrigerator. I understand that but you need to know that their customer service is 100 horrible and they give you no other options for finding resolution. So this is where it gets shared so others dont get hurt. They will write a response to this posting acting like there is a number and they will provide good support. Its a lie they actually dont. Its likely AI generated and why it is so hollow.. They delivered this refrigerator it was scratched up at the top. We called 15 minutes after the installation to request a refund in pick up. After hours of sitting on hold with foreign people who you can hardly understand they say the issue was filed days after it actually was with no follow up on taking care of the refrigerator. We had our prior LG refrigerator serviced the service didnt work and they wouldnt refund the money. We have learned the hard way that LG has no intention of providing quality service. As long as you want a refrigerator that never has a problem or fits just right youll probably be OK. Just dont ever ever ever end up needing service from them or you will regret it. And we actually put in hours of effort to reconcile this before writing a review.

If the Glide N Serve tray cover cracks there is not a replacement cover I have found for LFRXC2606S which I find unacceptable so be very careful something doesnt fall on it when removing items from shelves above glide n serve Video shows my issue just not same model as my LFRXC2606S

Refrigerator was installed by LG delivery people. They did not use PEX tubing for ice and water. The braided tubing they used has a plastic interior which makes the water taste like plastic even after dumping gallons and gallons of water through the system Customer service told me to buy PEX and hire a plumber to install. I even have the extended warranty What a joke these people are

Please be aware of LGs commitment to quality and service- its not what they say Why? Several years ago we bought a unit very similar to this. It had a well known compressor issue. Our compressor went out and because it was out of the standard warranty period not that long we had to pay $500 for a repair. I wasnt happy but ok since they said that it would work good again. We then had an LG repair man come to our house 4 different times for the same repair. Each time the repair lasted for around 2 weeks then weeks to get him back each time. Food spoiled several times very inconvenient etc. I asked for a refund but they had to send repair man out again. After the 4th time I asked for a refund again for my repair cost since their repair man couldnt fix it like they said. Their response - even when communicated to the department that is supposed to be the top layer of taking care of customers presidential? - was that it was now beyond the initial 90 days of initial repair and there would be no refund. One lady even told me no because the initial repair worked. When I said two weeks counted? she said yes They may say they focus on quality and stand behind it but in the end unfortunately they dont live what they promote. no embellishment or anger half truths here - this is reality

Save Your Money OR Buy Extended Warranty

A couple of years ago we decided to switch everything we own over to LG. One by one each item is failing. In regards to this specific fridge which was purchased in 2023 this has been our experience. About one year into owning this fridge the ice maker in the drawer stopped working. Part of why we purchased this specific refrigerator was for the dual ice maker. Luckily when the ice maker component was replaced we were under warranty. Fast forward to a few days ago. The fridge has not started to make loud noises which sound to be the compressor going out. After doing all of the trouble shooting we decided we needed an appointment. Good news compressors are covered for 10 years WRONG. While the compressor may be covered we get to pay $399+tax to have it changed out. Its wild to think that after only such a short amount of time we are dumping more money into the fridge. Do your research. This seems to be a common problem. I dont know what is happening with LG but we are extremely disappointed in their inability to back their own products.

Do not recommend this product. Brand new and door ice maker doesnt work The ice maker takes up the entire left door and only leaves tiny little shelves that arent even wide enough for anything bigger than a mini hot sauce bottle. Absolutely no space for taller items. I had to remove a shelf to make some room for larger items now I have to store the shelf somewhere. The vegetable/fruit drawers do not have customized settings. Craft ice maker is nice but you can definitely find a better refrigerator that makes craft ice. Keep looking- you can do better.

2 year old refrigerator. Starts leaking water from exterior water and ice dispenser onto the floor in March 2025. Was repaired leaks continue had repairman out 7 different times replacing different parts that they could get Leaks continues have been told LG frequently changes their parts and parts become unavailable. Repairmen order a fan twice and receive an ice bucket twice Cannot get a fan for a refrigerator that is 2 years old.

Read as a Zero star. What a Garbage Product. Bought this 2 years back and broke. LG technician visited to fix . Afte spending couple of hours his responce was product has been deemed as unrepairable confirmed by the LG next day on phone. LG has just washed their hands because product was out of warranty which means they accepted that their products dont last for more then 2 years .They should compensate their customers of their garbage products.

The fridge looks great and seems to work perfectly but there are a couple things we wish we had known before buying. The water dispenser only stores about 12 ounces in the unit to cool down if you uswe more than that it takes about 6 hours for the next 12 oz.. to be cooled down. There are no controls for the crispers in this model LCFC26XS nor are there controls for the GlideNServe drawer below the crispers. There may be e others but weve only had the fridge for two days.

Horrible Warranty Customer Service

What a nightmare I bought this refrigerator in October 2023. Less than a year and a half later it abruptly made a loud crackling sound and lost power. A technician discovered that the computer board had burned up more severely than he had ever seen before. He ordered a new one and upon installation it immediately burned up and fire actually SHOT OUT of the refrigerator greatly startling the tech. The compressor was tested and found to be overamping. That technician told me the entire refrigerator was a fire hazard due to potential unknown electrical damage inside the refrigerator melted wires etc.. Since the compressor was still under warranty I spent hours on the phone with LG to address the issue. They asked for signed documentation from the technician which I obtained and sent in. After receiving the documentation they still insisted on sending their own technician from a company 2 hours away from my house. That technician would not come until all possible parts had been ordered and received. We were 4 WEEKS into the repair process before LGs technician finally arrived and agreed with our initial technician--the refrigerator was a fire hazard and the compressor and computer board were bad. He communicated that to LG but LG insisted that all we qualified for was a repair instead of total replacement although Im sure it would be cheaper for LG to replace the refrigerator rather than pay for a new computer board new compressor $350 check they sent us to cover losses and multiple visits from a technician who is based 2 hours away from my house. LG reassigned the technician to come out to the house AGAIN to look at the refrigerator but I was told they had already closed the ticket and sent the parts back...which means another couple of weeks of waiting for potential parts to arrive. We have been without a working refrigerator for 5 weeks now and just received a call this morning from LGs technician re-opening the case and asking us to explain what was wrong with the refrigerator. When it is supposedly repaired we will have been without a working refrigerator for at least a month and a half and the refrigerator will STILL be a fire hazard if it doesnt immediately fail again but LG refuses to address the issue properly. We spent almost $2500 for a refrigerator that lasted less than a year and a half. LG has lost us as future customers and we have told many others about the problems.

Unresolvable product problem

I like the fridge but it came with a loose handle. There was virtually no way to resolve it - no help in the manual no help online and when I reached out to LG they caught me in endless loops of AI and agents who have never seen this product. The agent insisted on sending me a replacement handle and I had to tell the agent 5 times if you send me a handle it will NOT resolve my problem - the problem is the handle mounting. The agent proceeded to send me videos but they were about other fridges. Again they have never seen my fridge nor did they know anything about it. In the end they referred me to the part departement. That department never called me back. If a defective product issue cant be resolved anymore because LG doesnt give access to resources understanding the product it becomes a product problem. I will not buy LG again.

I just replaced my Frigidaire with this. Missing many features and much more expensive. Shelves are not adjustable in door. In fridge limited movement of shelves supported. Cant turn iff door chime so much for SMART Craft ice takes a day to make 3 cubes. I fo like the door hinges. Keep shopping

This fridge was delivered by Lowes just 4 days ago and I already hate it. The selves are just not adjustable enough there is no drip tray on the inside door ice maker which creates water and ice go everywhere the drawers pull out from the bottom which is just weird. Its very annoying to keep pushing the buttons to switch from ice to water with no response. So many things that cause so much disappointment. Should have bought a whirlpool for half the price.

The perfect fridge

This is our second LG fridge. Love both this one even more. So spacious inside. Crispers and deli tray hold tons Filters so easy to replace. Ice makers make perfect cubes and crushed ice. Freezer is a perfect size. Everything is within easy reach throughout. Lights and programmable sounds so fun. This is a great appliance like all LG products.

If I could I will give zero starts for product and service. This has been the worse experience with a new product i.e. refrigerator I bought the refrigerator at Home Depot exactly 18 months ago. A couple of weeks ago I found my kitchen floor next to the refrigerator full of water I looked around a notice that the water was leaking from the door ice maker when I opened the door I noticed an error massage displayed lE and to call LG tech support. When I called I was asked to provide a credit information for a charge of $450 since the one-year warranty has expired since I wanted it fixed I did. They scheduled a tech to come over and fix the problem and they mailed out a part to me when the tech showed up and when he tried to replace the part he couldnt since it was the wrong part that same scenario repeated itself one more time I received the wrong part and supposedly another part was ordered and I received a text to confirm an appointment on Dec. 24 I did but no one has showed up so I tried to reschedule and got a text that it was setup for Dec. 27. I still dont know why I must pay for a faulty part within an expect reasonable time of purchase of a new product.

I purchased this model in December of 2024. It replaced a previous refrigerator that I had for about eight years. The features were similar but this has a dual ice maker which is so much more useful. The variable ice cube size maker is also a cool feature the previous model did not have.

Warranty Service Very Frustrating

Bought refrigerator in June 2024 from Lowes. It was delivered in July. From July to early December we were very pleased. In early December 2024 the icemaker in the door stopped working. We have the LG ThinQ app and it diagnosed the error codeIF indicating a problem with the fan for the icemaker in the door. We contacted LG Support for warranty service. It took nearly a week for the contracted appliance technician to arrive. LG sent the repair part to my house prior to the repair appointment.The technician immediately stated that he did not think the replacement fan was going to work. Technician installed the new fan and the next day the error code was showing IF and there was no ice from door. Called LG immediately and they said I had to wait 48 hours for the error code to be verified. Waited the 48 hours with the error code remaining and called LG Service to schedule the second repair. Because of the technicians schedule the 2nd repair was scheduled for the middle of January. Very frustrating

The main ice maker stops working so I have to take out the dispenser and break up the ice and put it back in. Hard to get the refrigerator balanced so it wont make so much noise when closing the doors. Shelving is hard to adjust for maximum usage.

If I could I will give zero starts for product and service. This has been the worse experience with a new product i.e. refrigerator I bought the refrigerator at Home Depot exactly 18 months ago. A couple of weeks ago I found my kitchen floor next to the refrigerator full of water I looked around a notice that the water was leaking from the door ice maker when I opened the door I noticed an error massage displayed lE and to call LG tech support. When I called I was asked to provide a credit information for a charge of $450 since the one-year warranty has expired since I wanted it fixed I did. They scheduled a tech to come over and fix the problem and they mailed out a part to me when the tech showed up and when he tried to replace the part he couldnt since it was the wrong part that same scenario repeated itself one more time I received the wrong part and supposedly another part was ordered and I received a text to confirm an appointment on Dec. 24 I did but no one has showed up so I tried to reschedule and got a text that it was setup for Dec. 27. I still dont know why I must pay for a faulty part within an expect reasonable time of purchase of a new product.

The freezer compartment cannot be opened because the water line is leaking water on the freezer tracks that freezes into solid ice preventing the freezer drawer from opening.

Water dispenser unsafe

I bought this refrigerator a little over 1 month ago from Lowes online and have not been happy with my purchase. First of all theres not a lot of flexibility in how the shelves are rearranged making it hard to make a spot for taller items such as milk or juice containers. Additionally the shelves on the left-side door are much more slim than the shelves on the right-side door. Again limiting the amount of space available for storing condiments and like items. The freezer is fine. I have no complaints about that. The water/ice dispenser does not have a light that stays on throughout the night. It only lights up when youre dispensing water/ice. Additionally I do not trust the water coming out of the dispenser because theres white stuff floating in it. And it you let the water dry up in the catcher youll notice a white residue appears. I do not feel safe drinking the water from the refrigerator which defeats the purpose of buying a refrigerator with that feature. So I paid all that money for nothing. And before you ask yes I did try flushing out the system by dispensing and dumping out a LOT of water but the problem still stands. I contacted lowes to do a return but they said I couldnt because I was outside of their 48 hr return policy for major appliances. I then told them about the health concern of the water being dispensed and they gave me a number to contact. They told me there would be a note on my account for the next rep. I then call the number they gave me on the following Monday and it was an LG customer service line. They told me there was no note on my account and they have no idea what Im talking about and I would need to contact Lowes again. I contact Lowes again and they tell me theres nothing they can do and only LG would be able to help. And guess what I still have no resolution. I am not stuck with this refrigerator and I cannot even use it. The least they could have done is given me a 50 discount seeing as I cant use the product to its fullest but nope they refused to help me. Never buying from Lowes again unless they fix this. And definitely never buying from LG again.

I bought this on a Black Friday deal short time ago. Its a space saving counter depth refrigerator that has good space on the interior runs quiet and with two ice makers you pretty much never run out of ice. The freezer depth is also quite deep.

If I could I will give zero stars I have bought the refrigerator about 18 months ago and now I am having a problem with the door ice maker it stopped making ice and it leaked all over the floor and I was told that the problem is with a fan assembly and I will need to pay over $400.0 for a service dispatch since its out of warranty. when I scheduled a service a part was mailed to me just to find from the tech that its the wrong part and it a known problem when he reordered the part the same wrong part was sent again now it has been over 2 weeks and I am still waiting to it to be fixed

Im very happy with my new LG refrigerator. I love the Zero clearance feature since the 1st one delivered didnt fit in the space. The icemakers and inside space are more than efficient. I can see all foods at a glance with the French doors.

Nice Refrigerator at a Reasonable Cost

We bought this refrigerator on sale from Lowes. We were looking for a counter depth unit with two ice makers and wanted to give LG a try. Overall its a nice looking and quiet running refrigerator without a lot of bells and whistles. The Wi-Fi connectivity was a nice bonus but not something we had to have. If I were given the chance to re-design this refrigerator I would add a drip tray for the door water/ice dispenser. We solved this with a tray from Amazon but honestly it should be included. I would also add a little extra light to the interior so its easier to locate things. The light is adequate but could definitely be better. I thought the interior drawer pulls were flimsy and poorly designed. Our natural impulse is to pull the drawers open from the top but when you do you can feel the drawer give a bit. The same is true for the freezer. If it were me Id re-enforce all the drawers to minimize the chance of the plastic snapping. This was lost on me when I was checking it out at the store but once food is loaded into the drawers they just dont feel sturdy. The water filter is easy to locate and replace and the temperature settings are on the interior. Lastly the water is not chilled via a reservoir or container located inside the refrigerator. Our last Samsung had this feature and I wrongly assumed all refrigerators with water in the door had this feature.

Freezer failing after only two weeks of ownership

Beautiful refrigerator nice large crisper drawers. Easy to see inside. Love the zero clearance. BUT two weeks in and my freezer is not working properly. First week worked fine. Second week less stuff in it and it was 20 degrees in there for a few days. Im closing the door carefully and properly. I felt around and noticed ice on the bottom left side under drawer. You can stick your fingertips in the gap in the door seal when its closed on the left side not on the right. Now fighting frost throughout. The panel on the front of the freezer door also sricks out a bit. I can press it there is that much give. I think mine was poorly assembled. I got rid of my last refrigerator because of a freezer frost issue. 2400 and only two weeks im dealing with this with this new refrigerator. Im very concerned.

We bought our LG counter depth refrigerator a year ago when we remodeled our kitchen It replaced a larger LG fridge that did not fit in with new counter tops. The fridge is great. It has two ice makers that made tons of ice. The control panel was easy to use. But the ice maker is now leaking water through the in door ice dispenser. Rust was developing below the ice maker even before it started leaking. The refrigerator is fine for keeping food cold but the quality or ability of the fridge to keep working and in good condition for more than one year is very poor.
